Events

Ben is an experienced events anchor, sports presenter and master of ceremonies, with a warm, playful humour to keep crowds interested and enthused.

Ben’s thorough research and adept ability to think on his feet have lent themselves perfectly to host numerous events, including the London 2012 Olympic Games.

An anchor for both Water Polo and Diving, Ben was an integral member of the sports presentation team, , conducting engaging interviews with members of the public, professional chats with sporting greats and celebrities and creating an unrivaled atmosphere in the Olympic venues.

He covered some of the Olympics’ biggest events, including the final of the men’s water polo and Tom Daley’s 10 metre platform final in front of 15,000 fans in the aquatics centre. Hitting hard counts, presenting to both camera and audiences and off the cuff interviews, Ben excelled himself on one of the biggest stages.

Ben was rewarded for his presenting at the Olympics by being offered to present Wheelchair Basketball and Goalball at the Paralympic Games, London 2012. Working in different sports and different teams, he varied his interaction for half time games on court and kiss cam, and even got Boris Johnson to boogie on the big screen!

IMG_05703.jpgWorking as part of Sky One’s ‘Ashley Banjo’s Secret Street Crew’, Ben hosted a fashion show at Manchester’s Trafford Centre in 2013. Strutting down the catwalk, entertaining the crowds and working with the show’s producers on their content, he proved to be equally adept in an entertainment environment as a sporting one.

He can cites events with various sports clubs and organisations including Kent Cricket, where he has hosted functions and question and answer sessions with players. In live sport, Ben has previously worked as the master of ceremonies for Loughborough Lightning in the netball superleague from 2008 to 2011.
